As a child of immigrants myself, children in ICE detainment centers have been on my mind since their conditions have been leaked to the media.
Suspended here is a single teddy bear in white, brushed with dirt and grit (with a red bow hinting of happier memories) signifying a single unidentifiable child.
Consider the materials of confinement: Cages and concrete, agencies and persecution. Every day that passes, the cage feels smaller and tighter, and their youth is smothered by the circumstances around them, beyond their control.
