Regularly bombarded with images of COVID-19, I noticed several of these striking balls on the ground in January of 2021.  Though I had seen them for years, this year they took on a new meaning. I was reminded of a line I heard on a public radio program (paraphrasing):
"The Coronavirus has no feelings. It isn't trying to cause malice. It is simply doing what all livings want to do; survive."
Did you know, opposed to the popular graphic where the spiky glycoproteins are depicted in red, the virus (and any virus for that matter) is actually colorless?
